The Power of Prayer? Can religion help people with chronic medical conditions? Have your say.

A couple of years ago I read an entertaining article by Richard Schiffman in the Huffington Post entitled “Why People Who Pray Are Healthier Than Those Who Don’t”..  You can read the article here http://www.huffingtonpost.com/richard-schiffman/why-people-who-pray-are-heathier_b_1197313.html

Of course it is well known that people with religious beliefs think that their religion can and may help then in a journey with illness. Or indeed a loved one.

In this article Richard attempts to some degree to quantify support for the idea.  Which as an ex-research I have to admit I do find fascinating.

As well religion does affect how a person may view particular medical treatments.  For example it may be of interest to have a look at the comments section of a recent discussion on stem cell therapy here https://patienttalk.org/stem-cells-so-what-actually-is-stem-cell-therapy-are-you-for-or-against/.

So we thought it would be interesting to run a  poll on the subject.   It has been set up below.

Feel free to enlarge on your thoughts and experiences in the comments box below. Given that this is a difficult subject for some i would ask for politeness from anyone who comments.
