Autism and friendship

Autism and friendship

We have been asked by two students,  Ifza Chaudhri and Lauren Riella,  who are  Clinical Psychology MSc students from the Department of Psychology at Royal Holloway College.

Riella writes “We are looking at two separate topics within our research. The first topic attempts to better understand the experiences of receiving an autism diagnosis. In particular we would like to understand more about receiving a diagnosis in adulthood versus in childhood. The second topic examines friendships for autistic adults, particularly focusing on online friendships. We want to know more about the importance of online friendships, and we are also interested in understanding if gender and age influence online friendships.”

To take part please go here.

If you would like to participate, you will complete an online survey which will take approximately 20 minutes to complete (but may take longer if you write longer responses). The survey will have two main sections and will involve questions with fixed options and questions which you are free to write as little or as much as you like in response.”

If you would like to answer the questions through a different medium (e.g. telephone or email), please get in touch with Ms Chaudhri or Ms Riella via email at Ifza.Chaudhri.2017@live.rhul.ac.uk and lauren.riella.2017@live.rhul.ac.uk.
