Pain management – Is your pain worse today than it was one year ago?

Pain - is it getting worse?

Pain – is it getting worse?

As you may know by now one of the main objects of this blog is to help provide our readers with a forum which gives support for people who live on a day to day basis.

Of course there are many conditions which cause severe pain such , as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, migraines, POTS, fibromyalgia, cancer and ankylosing spondylitis. But today we are interested in focusing on pain management in general.

We would like to use today’s blog to ask our readers if you feel your pain is worse today than it was a year ago.

Sadly in my case it is much worse.

Also it would be great if you could share how you feel your pain management is working in the comments section below. In particular it would be great if you could tell us why your pain is getting better or worse over the last 12 months.

But before that we would invite you to take part in the poll below.

  1. I actually found a article on one of the government health sites where they actually finally admit that there are some forms of progressive fibromyalgia. Also, I think it depends on what you have to bring fibro about in the first place. For example I have everything they think what causes it. I have family history, trama (domestic violence for 15 yrs. food sensitivity) plus comorbid conditions w/the worse being degenerative disc disease, degeneration also in the facet joints and knees scoliosis and other multiple back issues, endometriosis just to name the bigger things. So, I wonder/think as these get worse the fibro does as well. Just thinking out loud I guess. Lol!

  2. My pain isn’t really worse than a year ago, it just comes more frequently. Especially when I over do, like I did this weekend on our trip to Savannah. I’m really feeling it this morning. Took some Tylenol and keeping my feet up. That’s all I know to do unless the Tylenol doesn’t work and then I’ll have to go to a muscle relaxer. ~

  3. Can’t honestly remember when I last had a good day or night.. And now the a summer is on its way my pain level will start to increase..

  4. My daytime pain management consists of paracetamol and ibuprofen. I have had MS since 2006,and year on year it gets more painful and harder to do simple things. I try to manage without asking for more pain relief but am getting to the age where I don’t think I care what they give me now..I just want a pain free day once in a while.
