She has very kindly given us permission to share it on our blog. We think it is just a brilliant way of telling people about invisible illnesses such multiple sclerosis or fibromyalgia. Please do share with everyone you know to help us raise awareness.
She says “Not sure how my new poster spread so fast, lol, I wasn’t quite done with it! Here is the final version in a better size for printing Glad everyone likes it!
Created my 4th poster in my MS series One of the most common things people with an invisible illness hear is “But you don’t look sick!” so I created this as a way for those who suffer to remind people that looks can be deceiving!
And I just like playing with photoshop….. ”
I have a problem while I brush my teeth. I usually gag/and or vomit. Does anyone else have this problem? Can anything help?
I and my young daughter of 27 suffer from Fibromyalgia, this is a wonderful way to help us try to explain to people that don’t understand.
Thank You,
Blessings.
patienttalk My pleasure…I like playing with Photoshop too.
calistair1126 Will reblog – many thanks for this
Here is your wonderful graphic with the correct “faint”.
The only thing I can say I don’t have yet are the itches. I didn’t see where you mention the bowel problem?
Brilliantly worded! I will share with my FND group
I love this!! Where can I get one for myself. I would love to hang it up in my house for my fiancé to see when he uses that line one me!!
mevamum VictoriaRainbowSteel EDS is Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, I have it too. Dodgy genes mean our collagen is faulty. Basically the body’s ”glue” doesn’t work so well and there’s a lot of pain, frequent dislocations, and chronic fatigue (as well as about a million other things).
I have every one of these. Love it! but fix the misuse of the word “Feint” to “Faint”. Feint means ” maneuvers designed to distract or mislead’ according to wiki. 🙂
This is an absolutely fantastic and so truthful poster. Well done, I will definitely share with my fibro friends and group. Thank you xx
VictoriaRainbowSteel what is EDS?
I don’t have MS but I do have EDS which is also invisible and is also perfectlm summed up by the above so THANK YOU XX
ChiliPad Thanks for the kind words – it is great that we can get this message out
A beautifully written and informative piece. The title of “the invisible disease” is a shockingly true way to define such a horrible illness. Thanks for sharing, as posts like this will go to raise awareness and aid for a publicly misunderstood disease.
