Yes I know it is a bit of an odd question.
But when I started out in healthcare market research all those years ago many of the people with fibro we spoke with felt that many doctors seemed not even to believe that fibro existed.
For some this made diagnosis virtually impossible.

I once went to hospital via 911 cuz I’d been dry heaving/throwing up for five days . My potassium was 2.1,I was headed for a heart attack. It is one of my most common fibromyalgia symptoms. The e.r doc immediately told me.He did not believe in fibromyalgia. So I replied in a firm tone “if your opinion is going to interfere with my quality of care,then I will go out and re register and wait for a different doctor!” He was in shock and started rambling about how he believes me and will take me.seriously. It was one of three hospital visits for the exact same.thing. my labs were horrible…But it’s all in my head….jack ass
