Serious question!
People talk a lot about therapies for fibro and ME etc and certainly they are very important.
But we all often forget the little things.
So I was wondering as a member of the fibromyalgia community what household item have you found the most useful?
It could be a bit of kit which helps you open jars or maybe a way of cutting the grass on the lawn which does not cause too much fatigue.
What ever it is we would love it if you would share in the comments box below. Also could you tell us what you use the gadget for please?
Thanks very much in advance.
A pair of long handled bbq tongs – picks up quite a bit of stuff. Bottles & such items – not so good, but still saves bending down & ruining my back.
I use the big long grab thing that has punchers on the end for picking things up off the floor like socks etc
The self opening can openers where u only have to push button. It was purchased after I had broken my wrist. Since then I have not been able to use a regular one.
Lauren Naden Thanks Lauren – great idea
My favourite kitchen gadget happens to be a simple bottle opener, it has a hooked bit that will pull the edge of a jar out slightly to allow air in and break the impossibly tight seals that plague me as my hands don’t work so well these days. It was purchased unintentionally when away on holiday and my partner was unable to open his bottle of beer and this is all the nearby shop sold. It makes my life a LOT easier http://www.ilcnsw.asn.au/items/10053
