Disabled children are more likely to be abused than non-autistic children and it is very important that professionals are aware of the things to look for but It can be hard to tell normal autistic behaviour from the way that abused children behave if you do not know what you are looking for. This means that some innocent parents are being accused because of the lack of expertise of professionals.

How can parents work with professionals in a way that means that their loving relationships are evident and doubts are not raised without good reason?
