  1. That look of terror in his eyes is caused by the service itself as his eyes roll back he has already lost his consciousness. He can feel it & thus may cry out in a strange usual tone. By then he is no longer conscious. That’s hopefully the point at which you need to be at his side because now he should start to come round again & needs your comforting voice. My best to your friend as I have #epilepsy too & it’s no funU0001f634

  2. My beagle, Oliver’s neck swells or bulges when he seizes… I always make sure his collar doesn’t get tight during… and I gently hug him and make sure he doesn’t run into stuff if he tries to walk around when it’s happening. If there are people around I ask them not to get loud about it. That seems to frighten him more. He has a look of sheer terror in his eyes every time.

  3. HAVE HAD SEIZERS ALL MY LIFE MY EPILEPSY IT DOES,NT BOTHER ME HAVING TO TAKE SEIZERS IS A HORIBLE FEELING IF THEY OCCUR THEY OCCUR WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT ,

  4. I have what are called complex partial seizures. I used to have tonic clonic seizures prior to a right temporal lobectomy (brain operation) I had in 1996..

  5. As a person who has epilepsy, thank you for this post.  A lot of people assume that you hold someone down and try to put something in someone’s mouth!  If the person is having a seizure for greater than three minutes, they need to get to the hospital ASAP.
