The Autism Health & Well Being Association Incorporated (a not-for-profit charity) was established in December 2015 and our main purposes are:
– placing teens and adults with autism (who are mainly non-verbal, who may stim and/or have never had a job) in employment
– training stores and other businesses on small changes they can make to be an “Autism Friendly Place”
and
– running Autism Health & Well Being Expo’s showcasing clinical, social and natural services for people with autism and their carers.
As part of this year’s Autism Health & Well Being Expo in Melbourne, Australia, we are running a “When I grow up” competition worldwide for children with autism under 12 years of age. Thinking about the future is the first step in employment and this competition calls for all kids to think about occupations! We want kids with autism to think ahead and then our association will do everything we can to provide pathways leading to employment when they grow older.
An AMAZON voucher worth AUD$150 is up for grabs and is redeemable no matter which country you reside. Click here for all the details
