Okay I hear you cry “why on earth is this guy reviewing a knife sharper on a healthcare blog?”
Actually the answer is pretty straight forward. Whatever your diet and there are plenty to choose from for improved health health (have a look at this one for multiple sclerosis and this one for rheumatoid arthritis) you need to actually prepare your food from scratch. Far too many readymade meals are high in fat, salt and chemical additives. So avoid!
Now to prepare healthy food you need at least one good knife. And that knife has to be sharp for it to be of any use. So a vital element in any healthy lifestyle is a knife sharpener.
Full disclose – I’ve spend 30 years and rather a large amount of money in finding a knife sharpener that actually works. No. I’ll rephrase that – works well enough to really sharpen knives. And until recently I’d never found one.
But that all changed a few weeks back when I was sent an AnySharp Pro Metal Knife Sharpener to review! The name’s a bit of a mouthful I admit!
But you know what?
It works.
It actually sharpens knives. Properly.
And that’s about it really. This is a product which will give you sharp knives (I’ll be truthful and say I’ve not tried it on scissors or my meat cleaver) though I’m told they work fine for them and for bread knives.
Actually there are a couple of things I should mention. It’s very cheap. Comes in at under twenty pounds in the UK. Also it has the rather clever way of keeping it stable. It uses a suction pad at the bottom which means that it is both very portable and stable.
Oh yes it’s small so won’t take up loads of room.
So really if you need to have a sharp knives this is the bit of kit you need.
You can pick one up here if you are in the UK here or in America here.
