Multiple sclerosis awareness

One of the objectives of this blog is to allow people with differing medical conditions to share ideas, stories and experiences. In particular we are always very interested in asking people to share their tips about simple ideas which have really made a difference in their lives.

in this post we are looking for ideas from people with multiple sclerosis or caregivers of people with multiple sclerosis.

For example we have tried to popularise this idea for keeping cool in the summer. It is cheap and it really works as well of better than some of the very expensive products on the market.

So in that spirit we are asking you to contribute your tips and suggestions that have made an improvement in the life of a person living with multiple sclerosis.

It would be great if you could share your suggestions in the comments box below.

Many thanks in advance.

fedupandconfused I use an electric veg chopper to chop onions, garlic etc it’s been the best gadget ever I wouldn’t be able to cook without it.
AnneLockhart I use a shopping trolley to transfer wet washing to the tumble dryer.
BillyRiser Yiqui so basically what i read. you can not eat anything!
NikiValois A Battery Operated Can Opener. 🙂
TonyAyers A closer parking space to walk in to work.
Yiqui Yeah is candida diet but for more information I really suggest the book HEALING MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS From Ann Boroch this book has changed my life, even I started with other book minding my mitochondria by Terry Wahls she also got cure doing diet but she did Paleo diet and others things and I started that diet but after a few months I found out that I have a really bad yeast problem and after a long long research I crossed with this book HEALING MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS and that book explain all your symptoms and causes and all the yeast connection, any way that’s why I really encouraging that you should read the book you can get a hard copy or an ebook from amazon and they cost like 11.00 o little more I don’t remember very well. Any way I hope that works for you and like i said for me has worked great there are some symptoms that has disappeared I still having walking problems but I believe one day that is going to change I being on that diet like 1 year and half and I’m really happy knowing that I’m going something for me and my body. There more than a hundred cases that has being cure or reverse doing diet so I guess you can give it a try!

GeneKirkland Yiqui Would you mind sharing your diet
Yiqui I’m totally agree with you and that is a big thing NOBODY WANTS TO DO IT OR BELIEVE! The cure of this thing or reverse is the diet. Im being on diet 1 year and a half and I can tell the difference
Gentlerain I have a bed cradle that I would not be without , the duvet goes up over it .So my leg are in a tunnel  Really helps to keep my legs cool at night and keeps the duvet off my legs as I hate anything touching them . Also have a grab rail to help getting in and out of bed and turning over .
tahohvn Believe it or not, a shower chair!  Shaving my legs when I’m having a bout of Vertigo isn’t fun.
MarilynRoberts Nobody wants to realize this, but its sadly true.  When eating meat (beef, chicken or pork) anyone with an autoimmune disease should realize that ALL farm animals are injected with both growth steroids and animal antibiotics.  These things make MS worse.  Don’t bother asking your neurologist.  The AMA is highly funded by the meat and dairy industries.  Just saying…
patienttalk bjean Brilliant suggestion – many thanks
bjean I keep tourniquets from the doctor’s office to use when opening jars. Nothing grips better.
patienttalk One thing I should have mentioned and this is not quite a household gadget is that an old mate of mine whose wife had MS installed an electric ramp going into their house.
