Autism is often surrounded by stigma, misunderstandings and myths. Hoping to eradicate these beliefs, Miller speaks from facts and personal experiences as she shares what it may be like for those on the spectrum and how society can change this experience. Tess Miller is a graduating senior majoring in psychology with a minor in public health. She is the education director for the National Alliance on Mental Illness at SCU, creator of the University’s first autism research project, and looks forward to a position at the Children’s Health Council in Palo Alto, California. Tess is passionate about the advancement of early intervention of childhood disorders and seeks to work with children with emotional and social difficulties.
