The father of missing autistic boy William Wall gave an emotional address at a press conference in Victoria where he said his son’s “mindset is the thing that could potentially undo him”.

A search is currently underway for the teenager who went missing in Victoria’s Yarra Ranges on Tuesday morning.

Shane Wall said “on the outside he seems normal and he is normal in most circumstances,”.

“Once the body sugars start dropping that’s when it becomes a little bit more irrational. “I’d quite easily put 100 bucks down that he could run 25-30 kilometres.”

Mr Wall also thanked the local community saying, “I’d never want to be in this situation, but the people around here are fantastic”.

“The police, the SES, his brother’s mates, they’ve all been out all night” “This has just blown me away, actual support from local people.”
