Here is my full honest review of Netflix’s Love On The Spectrum, from an autistic persons perspective.
The show starts off with the introduction of the characters who are all on the spectrum of varying degrees of support needs. This in its self is comforting to because it shows that autism is a spectrum and that you could be anywhere on the spectrum.
The characters are very strong and good at being present entertaining but also relatable. The main focus is around all of the characters trying to find a date apart from to the characters who are already dating. It goes through the struggle of finding love in general and also the struggles of relationships with people on the spectrum in detail.
There are few moments in it where I feel so relatable to the character called Mark when he is frustrated that himself from being overwhelmed with the situation and that really hit home and we think about myself.
Also something very interesting is in one point they show a class on how to act on a date and I found this very educational and I learnt a lot from just watching that episode.
