Nature has always been a lifeline to Dara McAnulty. Now he hopes that wider appreciation during the coronavirus lockdown will encourage more people to fight to protect the natural world.
Dara, 16, is autistic. For him that means he experiences the world as a sensory overload.
Since he was a young child, nature has provided a sense of stability and calm and it was his desire to discover more about it that first prompted him to read. And with nature providing a solace to many people across the world whose lives were restricted by the coronavirus pandemic, Dara hopes that more people will be motivated to work at protecting it in the future.
