For many years as an Autism family we would avoid all restaurants. We had many bad experiences in the early years so we wrote it off all together. One of the most important lessons we have learned as special needs parents is not to write off anything based of a few bad moments. We have learned a few tips and tricks between friends and ABA therapy to help us with trying new things and now going out to eat is fun for all. This may not seem like a big deal to most but for a lot of parents of little ones on the spectrum A busy place full of people-noises and endless sensory overload can be enough to induce panic. Remember to never give up trying to do an experience new things .
