Jobs for people with autism is always an interesting subject and a difficult one to cover when you’re on the autism spectrum due to the fact that jobs are more scarce for autistic people.
There is a very alarming statistics saying that 80% of autistic people are not in employment and this is true throughout the whole of Europe and the USA. 1. Computing IT Lots of autistic people are excellent with technology and computing. Jobs within this sector are a good match for autistic people, and also Microsoft have an on boarding program specifically for people with autism.
2. Gaming People on the autism spectrum are very interested in games and experienced gamers. This opens the options for working with a gaming company, from creative design, coding and or testing new games.
3. Self Employment Self employment is a good option for the creative Autistc people among us who are pumping out ideas daily. Why not create a product or a site or something to sell via a website and make your own job.
4. Problem Solving / Tester Lots of companies need people to test their software and or new products before release. A good job would be a tester / fault finder for companies, as autistic people typically have a good eye for detail.
