Emily L. Casanova, PhD of the University of South Carolina Greenville Medical School has asked us to help find adult women on the autism spectrum to help with a  some research.

Casanova writes “My group is interested in looking at the relationship between various co-occurring medical conditions in adult women on the autism spectrum, particularly focusing on issues like immune and hormone dysregulation, epilepsy, and connective tissue disorders. We’re hopeful that as we learn more about the quality and frequency of these issues, improvements in healthcare can be made that will benefit these women and their families.

We’re looking for women on the autism spectrum who are 25 years of age or older, or legal guardians of women who fulfill those criteria, in order to participate. We will also be happy to share the final manuscript with AutismTalk if anyone is interested and to answer any questions people may have.
