The caterpillar represents them when I first started driving them at ages 3 and 5 years old. The butterfly represents as they are now….growing and learning. When they graduate, I will add a flying butterfly. =)

  7. My name is Valrie, from Amarillo, TX.  I drew up this piece myself, the free flowing autism ribbon signifying that they are not bound by their autism, but can be freed by it if they choose.  The floating hearts with their names in them signify that they can rise above their labels and stand out in positive ways.

  15. Here are two autism awareness ribbons that represent my son Lukas three years old and my daughter Ella that is two years old.  They both have been diagnosed with autism.  My son is verbal and daughter is non-verbal. It’s tough to be a stay at home dad or even when we just go to the store.  I just wish people wouldn’t be so judgmental when we are out,  It takes everything I have to not rip someone’s face off when they stare or make remarks about the way they act.  Dad keeps his cool though.

  16. This is my autism tribute tattoo dedicated to my 3 wonderfully children Deborah, Brandon and Nicholas. They are all on the spectrum: one high functioning, one middle and one lower end.
