” M S and My Beautiful You” – A poem for Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week

Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week

Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week

Te Bigley shares “My wife has MS. I adore her strength. This is MS Awareness Month. I would be ever so grateful if I could share with you and your readers a poem I wrote about her and for her. I wrote this a couple of years ago. She is still determined to beat MS. Yes, she fights like a girl.”

How do you do
The things you do

To always remain
Beautiful You

5:30 am
and your already up
By 6:30 you’ve had
your 2nd
Cup

You wake the kids up out of bed
Make sure there ready for school
Even though
They seem
Like there dead

You play with Allie
And give her a bone
Then you proceed
to clean
our entire home

You haven’t had a second
To sit down
and relax
I wonder
the toll that it’s taking
On your legs
and your back

Now it’s 9am
You head back to our room
For the short time that you’ll take
to get dressed and
groom

Then it’s out the door
And
Off to work you go
Praying,
” It will be busy
and
not to slow.”

You come home
6 hours later
And the pains
setting in
Yet you never complain
When I ask
“how has your day been?”

You just charge
Right through our door….
With this
Electric energy
That somehow you’ve stored

You won’t
Sit on the couch
Or pull up a chair
There is not a minute to spare…..
You just
Head to the kitchen
There’s dinner
To prepare

An hour and a half later
We gather at the table

We say our prayers
before we feast
Can’t help but notice
How little
You always eat

Then there’s dishes to do
Afterwards
Wether your ready
Or not
It’s time to give yourself
another shot.

Soon after
We’re in bed
So you can rest
Your aching head
With a kiss
And another
good nite Darlin
So Blessed
To be said

And Your off fast asleep
Just thankful
To be back in bed

As I lay there
Cherishing
All that you do
I fall asleep,too
staring at

Beautiful You
