Steroids and anti-histamines are common treatments of the symptoms of Hay Fever and the condition currently does not have a cure.

So you might want to try some of the following tricks:-

a)      Wrap round spectacles help prevent your eyes coming into contact with pollen.

b)      Keep your house windows and doors shut.

c)       Rub some petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline) inside your nose.  This can catch the pollen and prevent it going into your nose.

d)      Keep away from gardens and parks with large areas of grass.

e)      On returning home why not change your clothes and take a shower to get rid of any pollen.

Indeed some even suggest not leaving your house when the pollen is high.

  1. I used to have a big allergy problem, but since taking Isotonix OPC-3, it has gotten a lot better, I still keep my nose away from flowers and other things tht have pollen, but when the Chestnut trees were blooming around my house, I always had to call the dr. for help! Now, I may get some drainage, but not infected like I used to !

  2. had Hay-fever to bronchial-asthma stage. finally found an allergy specialist. had tests done [on the innersides of my arms, to see which things were affecting me]. once that got worked out [main one was the olive tree when in blossom in spring, just what you need when you live in Greece!!!!!!1]. so every week =3x at that= i would go to the specialist and have injections of very dilutted medication, of that what was affecting me.increasing every visit, very slightly, until end of April [when it was hay-fever/pollum time.]  did this for 3 years, Sept to April. never been back. in fact got olive tree right outside[in full blossom]. no symptoms, thankfully,’cos if i need meds i’ve not got even an inhaler, and hospital’s 1 hour drive away. when i did have bronchial-asthma tho’, would stop drinking cows milk, seemed to worsen the symptoms. Antihistamines were making me a zombie. sleeping from one dose to the next.

  3. I personally don’t think anything can be done besides Antihistamines. I went through hell until the early 90’s when finally a doctor said ” hey we have a magic cure now”.
